I would guess that 9 is the worst description, because it sounds like the opposite of anger.

Yeah I know, repression and all that, but 6 is clearly fearful. 3 I'm not so sure about, that description might be bad as well.

1 is internalised anger, so they're hard on themselves and always push themselves to be the best they can be.

I think the 1 description fits the bill.

Not that I even READ descriptions, but I get the gist.

not the least accurate but id say its up there

gut triad descriptions seem to miss the mark for me, especially naranjo's , its not very nuanced

the 1 description seems to be very difficult to sustain, especially the parts about trying to get others to listen to them , if E1 is so straitlaced as the description suggests, how is it that getting others to listen will work well enough to 'reward' the behaviour ? it seems the average E1 by what naranjo says of them is just going to end up isolated. sp1 is warmer and more sustainable, but soc1 and sx1 i just dont see how it would work.

modern enneagram is not as bad here, trying to show the E1's warmer side , although the whole reformer thing seems very idealised and "superhero"-like. i think the most successful E1 descriptions were ichazo's and palmer's, they feel the most realistic in the actual world
