I am just loving Ambessa more and more. I just saw this vid.
Apparently I am about to go down the LoL rabbit hole, sigh...

Really wild is that the beach that Ambessa's video ends on years before is the same beach the 2025 trailer starts on with Mel stepping back onto Noxus ground -- you can tell by the large eye in the rock in the background.

So I guess this is really showing the deal of how Mel was born as a mage and reinforces even more how fiercely Ambessa protected her. We saw a lot of the abrasive sides of Ambessa in Arcane but always the hints of the love under the surface and this is just so powerful, how much Ambessa loved Mel and was so proud of her at the end of Arcane despite the surface level of how things shook out. It's clear here that she ALWAYS loved her and her daughter was part of her own fierceness to survive. But also how Mel was always going to be in terrible danger and needed to become strong, due to what she was being born into.

I dunno. Just very cool to see a younger Ambessa and how similar she and Mel looked.

I've seen jokes made that Riot is actually a music company that makes games, but the thing is it's because they seem to be so strong at setting up music videos and sequences in their stories. I mentioned before that RWBY seemed to be animators who tried to squeeze music in parallel or after the fact, and it didn't usually mesh well as well. (Their orchestration was fine as it was written to the sequences, but their rock songs were just kind of slapped in.)

I feel like Riot actually has the song set up and animates to the song, almost. Or they are developing animation right with the music pieces. Their music is so strong in how it's integrated emotionally and shot-wise into the sequences.

I thought the part about making Imagine Dragons good was funny. I didn't like them until I heard "Enemy" either.

I don't know the difference between RWBY and RIOT in the terms of how they treat music. I'm not familiar with RWBY.
RIOT is a company, RWBY is an American anime show (there are lots of arguments over whether it's "real" anime) by a company called Rooster Teeth that finally shut down almost a year ago for a variety of reasons and RWBY as a property changed hands, so hopefully a Season 10 (and maybe a few additional seasons) will get out the door because they are in the last third/quarter of their storyline.
